![]() ![]() I believe the year of this guitar was 2002. I tried to get it back but as you will see he wouldn't send it back!! This was an Elitist made for the Japanese market. Here is another that I had at one time and moved it along to a fellow MLP member in Sweden. I've had a few Tak's and they were all off the charts great. Killer top and the pickups (Burstbucker 2 and 3) were outstanding! The middle position was super woody and had this wonderful clear knock that is very rare at times in a Les Paul. ![]() ![]() Here's an Elitist Tak Matsumoto Signature I had at one time. And maybe.just maybe we can create a lobby to have the series return to production!!! Got one? Let's see it! Tell us your thoughts and stories. This model is frequently confused for the limited run 65 Elitist Casino and can be differ. Just such a solid, well built, great playing and great looking set of guitars. The Epiphone Elitist Casino features a single piece slim taper 'D' profile mahogany neck, traditional headstock with no inlay, 'Elite' or 'Elitist' on the truss rod cover and parallelogram fretboard inlays. I've owned many over the years and have moved along many but always come back to have one. It was a time when they brought to the guitar market the wonderfully appointed Elite/Elitist line of guitars. 2002-2008 was a great period for Epiphone guitars. ![]()
